I have worked at Barwon Health in a number of capacities for over 20 years, including over 10 years as statistical consultant.

 

Research Focus

I provide assistance with study design, research techniques and statistical analysis for all of the surgical & critical care units.

 

Awards and achievements

  • 1999 PhD The University of Melbourne:  Development of Australian bone mineral density reference ranges.
  • 2005 Evidence-based data that successfully changed health policy increasing eligibility for a rebate for bone densitometry and for bone-targeted therapies.
  • 2011 Evidence-based data exploring radiotherapy patterns in south-west Victoria for the Department Health, prior to the construction of the radiotherapy centre in Warrnambool.
  • 2015 Barwon Health Quality Awards, Board of Directors Award: Evaluation of Cancer Outcomes Barwon South West Registry. 
  •  2017 Barwon Health Quality Awards, Board of Directors Award: Wide Smiles.
  • 2017 Victorian Public Healthcare Awards Finalist. Wide Smiles: Improving children’s health.
  • 2017 Dental Health Services Victoria Oral Health Project of the Year:  Wide Smiles, prior to the return of the Smile Squad in Victoria
