About Us

Background

Born and raised in the Geelong area, I completed my Bachelor of Nursing at Deakin University.  I was fortunate to be given a graduate placement here at Barwon Health in 1998 that saw me experience both Medical and Surgical nursing as well as some time in the Theatres as a Scrub Nurse. From this I knew Medical Nursing was for me, so worked the next 17 years on HW7 and RAPU working my way up to the ANUM role.

An opportunity opened up in 2014 to work alongside Dr Deb Friedman on the FLUCAN surveillance project and this lead me to Clinical Trials. 

Research Focus

I have a passion for Clinical trials in the areas of Infectious Diseases, Endocrinology and Paediatrics.

I love knowing that I am playing a part of improving health care for everyone.

 

Awards & Achievements

• The first southern hemisphere site to open and enrol the first paediatric participant in a Phase 1b RSV study.
• Receiving the highest level of compliance in a TGA audit for an Infectious Disease vaccine trial.
