IMPACT - Jo Chambers

Background

My nursing career began on the wards and I moved to my current role at Barwon Health after completing a postgraduate certificate in Diabetes Education while on maternity leave with my first child.

I was involved in clinical trial research at Barwon Health for over 10 years, primarily in the area of Endocrinology & Diabetes and more recently Infectious Disease. In 2023 I commenced as Clinical Trial Manager at IMPACT Trials.

Research Focus Jo Chambers about me

I always had a keen interest in the education side of nursing, so my career naturally progressed toward a role in which I am able to spend time with individual people over a longer period of time.

Clinical Trials may run for at least 6-12 months, so it enables us to clearly plan out goals, while also giving people access to newer therapies.
