Allied Health Research & Translation - Dr Olivia King

Background

I am an allied health researcher and educator. I am the Manager of Research Capability Building for Western Alliance Academic Health Science Centre and a member of the Barwon Health Research Directorate. I also hold an Adjunct Research Associate position with the Monash Centre for Scholarship in Health Education and an Affiliate Senior Lecturer role with Deakin Rural Health. I am passionate about developing research capability in the health sector and promoting the translation of research into practice, particularly in rural health settings.

My current research work focuses on effective approaches to building and sustaining research skills in clinicians and rural and regional health services.Olivia King about me 2023

My other research interests include interprofessional role boundaries, allied health workforce, sociology of the professions, qualitative methods, and health professions education.
