Cardiology - Donna Soraghan

Background

I studied Nursing at ACU in Ballarat and then moved to Melbourne for my Graduate position at The Royal Melbourne Hospital in the Renal Transplant Unit where I stayed for the next 10 years and became a Clinical Nurse Specialist.

In 2011 I moved to Geelong and it is here where I began working in Cardiology and loved it – which lead to my current position in Cardiology Research where I have been for the last 8 years.

Research Focus

Being involved in clinical research is a privilege and it’s such a positive and progressive area to be a part of.

My current research trials are looking at improved medical treatments for heart failure, better outcomes post a heart attack and cholesterol lowering studies.
